Inaugural edition underlines rise in offering complexity and importance of esoccer
Kambi, the home of premium sports betting solutions, has published its inaugural Sports Betting Trends Report, highlighting the growth of Bet Builder, player props and esoccer across its more than 40-strong partner network throughout 2024.
A snapshot into several key trends shaping the sports betting industry, the report underlines evolving scale and complexity of the Bet Builder.
Close to 30% of those placed in 2024 contained five or more legs, compared to around 5% in 2021, while live Bet Builder continues to rise in popularity – Bet Builder as a percentage of overall live bets climbed to 11% during the 2024 NFL Playoffs, a significant increase from 5% in 2023.
Player and stats-related markets also surged over the previous year, Kambi’s network data illustrating how bettors are increasingly gravitating towards player props. In the 2024/25 Champions League, ‘Player’s Shots on Target’ is currently the most popular selection to place into a Bet Builder, with ‘Player’s Shots’ and ‘Player’s Fouls Conceded’ also featuring in the top five.
The report also highlights how critical always-on content such as esoccer is becoming for ambitious sportsbooks. Since revamping Kambi’s esoccer offering in late 2023 it has grown to become one of the top soccer leagues on the network, taking more bets in 2024 than La Liga and Serie A.
